Two for Tuesday! {PIN}spirational & Twist of Faith

It's Two for Tuesday this week since I have two DT cards for today.

First up is Twist of Faith.  The theme this week is "Postcard/Card and Envelope/Pocket".  I must confess that this one stumped me a bit...but I decided to make a card and then decorate the envelope.  I figured I had plenty of time since I was on vacation last week.  Ah, but alas, it didn't happen!  I got the card made but the envie idea is still in my head.  Oh well.  So don't pay much attention to my card but check out the Twist of Faith blog to see the other DT projects because they are very cool!  Our sponsor this week is StampArt Design by Kathryne.  I used "Little Bear Pumpkin" for my card.  Here's the card (without envie - UGH!):

Next up is {PIN}spirational Challenge where the inspiration photo is:

The sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Design.  This is another one that I struggled with but here is what I came up with:

So come on over to both blogs and join in the fun!  Thanks for stopping by today.  God bless you and your family.

Eureka Stamps #63 - Just a Note of Thanks

We are heading into the time of year when we reflect on all that we have and are thankful for His blessings.  I certainly am blessed!!  God has provided so much in my life and I'm truly thankful.  He's put wonderful people in my path along the way and they have blessed me as well.  How often do we tell those we love that we are thankful for them?  Or how often do we go out of our way to even say "thanks" to a waitress/waiter or the mailman/mailwoman?  And what about going the extra step and giving them a note?  Can you imagine how someone in the service field would feel getting a card out of the blue saying thank you?  So that's my challenge to you this week - send a card to someone you don't really know who gave you good service.  It could be the cashier at the grocery store or anyone....just get their name and send a card back to that location saying thanks.  You would really make their day!!!!

Ok, so on to the challenge this week at Eureka Stamps.  The theme is "Just a Note of Thanks"....and if you take my challenge - snap a pic of your card and enter our challenge too!  :)  Here's the card I made...I hope to see yours!

Twist of Faith #60 - Harvest

I'm so enjoying this week...because I'm on VACATION!  I've mentioned before how much I love Fall and so we always take a week of our vacation in October.  This year the leaves are staying on the trees a bit later than usual and it's so beautiful!  Yesterday my husband and I were out and we just took "the scenic route" home and the beauty of the trees and sunny day - God's handiwork in nature never ceases to amaze me.

This week at Twist of Faith our theme is Harvest - perfect for this time of year!  Digi Darla is once again sponsoring our challenge - have you ever checked out the images from Digi Darla?  There are so many to choose from that you could spend quite some time poking around their site!

My image choice was "Pumpkin Wheat" which I colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The paper was a gift from a dear friend at church.  I still had a couple wood leaves left from the package that I received from a friend at SCS and so I used those as well.  Lastly, the quote is from a RAK on SCS - such a generous group of people!!!  Here's the end result:

I hope you drop by and visit us at Twist of Faith.  Remember that your creation must include a positive quote, verse, or scripture.  Thank you for stopping by today and God bless you!!!

Eureka Stamps #62 - Halloween Colors

I'm not one to celebrate Halloween.  But the colors - now that I can work with!  The challenge this week at Eureka Stamps is Halloween Colors.  Of course everyone always first thinks orange and black - which of course I did too.  But Halloween colors can be anything really - think about it all the costumes and the colors outside - just about anything works.

For my card I used a digi called Pumpkin Racoon.  I fell in love with that little guy as soon as I saw him!  He's so cute!!!!  I colored the image with Spetrum Noir makers an then used some paper I had laying around and a few wood leaves that I received from a friend.  Here's the end result:

Now it's time for you to get those create juices flowing and join us this week at Eureka Stamps.  Remember - you can't win if you don't play with us!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  God bless you!!!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge #78 - Orange and Black

It's Friday!!!!  And not just any Friday - but a Friday with a new challenge at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge!  Whoo-hoo!!!  This round the challenge theme is "Orange and Black" - what else would you expect with Halloween right around the corner.  Now I must confess, Halloween is not a holiday that I tend to celebrate....so I chose an image that was more Fall-like rather than Halloween.  Since the image is a silhouette it was easy to get the "black" part of the challenge...but the orange - now that was a different story.  I thought of a sunset and decided to try and create one....so I got out the Spectrum Noir markers and started trying to find the right color of "orange".  When I found it I started coloring but guess what happened?  It was almost out of ink!  UGH!  So I had to use a couple more colors I wasn't planning on using...and when it was done - I was happy!  Imagine that - something that I thought was going horribly wrong turned out to look good to me!  So just add some black & orange bling along with some paper and this is what you get:

I hope you come by and play with us at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.  The rules are simple - use orange and black for the challenge - and of course, always use an image.  You can use any image you like, although we would be tickled pink if you used a Pattie's Creations image.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a very blessed day!!!!

Twist of Faith - Things with Wings / {PIN}spirational Challenge - Anything Goes

It's a two for one Tuesday here today as I have double duty with Design Teams.  This isn't going to be very long as this morning we had to drop off our little Cosmo (female kitty) at the vet for her surgery today...so I only have about 10 minutes before it's time to leave for work.

First up is Twist of Faith - this week our challenge is Things With Wings.  We have a new sponsor this week:  DeeDee's Digi's.  Wait until you see her designs - love them!!!  I used "Endless Beginnings" for my card.  It doesn't show up very well in the picture, but I colored the dove in with a clear Spica Glitter pen to give it some sparkle.  I also went over the flower with the pens too.

Next is {PIN}spirational Challenges with the theme of "Anything Goes".  Our sponsors this week are Fresh Brewed Designs and My Heart Pieces Digital Stamps.  I used Joshua2415 for my image.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and then just used some papers I had on hand in my stash.

I hope you join me at both challenges this week.  I'd love to see your creations!  Thanks for stopping by today - God bless you!!!

Eureka Stamps #61 - Fall Theme with String or Twine (no ribbon)

Happy Monday!  A new Monday brings a new challenge at Eureka Stamps!  This week the theme is "Fall Theme with String or Twine".  Ah, no ribbon.  Bummer!  But I did have some baker's twine on hand so off I went to find an image to use.....and as soon as I saw "Eat Beef" I chuckled....that had to be it!  I printed out two copies of the image and cut out the head, sign, and hands of one of the images.  Pencils or markers?  Hey - why not both!  LOL!  The turkey is colored in pencils and then mellowed out with baby oil.  The sign is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  In the stash was a sheet of card stock by JillyBean so that became the background paper.  Next for the twine - a couple strands in the corner and then I hung the sign around the turkey's neck and used a couple pop-dots to make the head/sign "pop".  Add a leaf - and completed card!

Come on over and join us with your string and/or twine.  Thank you for stopping by today!  God bless you!!!

Twist of Faith - Challenge #58 - Autumn Colors

Fall is my favorite time of year...and it's starting to look so beautiful here in Ohio.  The leaves are changing color...not only is Fall my favorite season, but October is my favorite month.

This week at Twist of Faith we are celebrating Autumn / Fall.  As long as your project has the colors of Fall, you can join the fun!  Our sponsor this week is Milk Coffee Stamps.  I was able to use an image called "Soya is Taking a Nap".  Isn't she sweet?  The paper is a scrap piece I had and I colored the image with a combination of Spectrum Noir and Bic markers.  The chipboard flower was an extra from another project as well.

Hope to see you this week at Twist of Faith.  Thank you for stopping by and may God bless you today!

Eureka Challenge #60 - Anything Goes

It's the start of a new week and that means it's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps!  This week the sky is the limit because the theme is "Anything Goes".  So I know you all can come over and play along with us.

I decided to take the opportunity to make another Christmas card for the stash this year.  Gee, I guess I should look at the stash and see if I have enough cards to send this year...or I'm going to have to get busy!  Anyway, I used a couple digi's for this card: "Singing Moose" and "Merry Christmoose".   I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and then just used some scraps of paper to finish the card.

So come on over and join the fun this week at Eureka Stamps.  I'll be looking for you!  God bless you!!!  Thank you for stopping by today.

Happy MELINA Day!!

Yes, it's October 5th and the 5th of the month brings us honoring another Crafty Gal...but this month we not just honoring someone in our blog group....but our owner!!  Yes, it's Melina!!!!  As you know, we are to make a card that reflects the style of honoree...or reflects them in some way.

Melina is such a special woman.....she's a wife, mom, business owner, crafter....and one of the most genuine people I know.  She is full of life and - well, a great example of a Christian woman.

Melina is a scrapbooker and card maker....  check out her blog:  Crafty Scrapper

When I was looking through Melina's blog trying to figure out what card I was going to CASE, I just couldn't decide.  I don't know of anyone who does the CAS style as well as Melina.  And nothing I did would even come close to her.  So then I started thinking about Melina herself.....and one word kept coming back into my mind.  This is a card that I recently made for a swap and I didn't know when I was going to post it - but it's perfect for right here...because Melina is a woman who is pure (thus the white), creative and has so many different hats she wears (the layers and textures)...and as for the one word...well, I think the card speaks for itself.  I love you my friend and I hope you like the card I am posting in honor of you.

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge #77 - Use Ribbon

Happy Friday!  WOW, it has been a long week...and I'm so thankful that Friday is here.  And not only is it Friday - but it's a new challenge Friday over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.  This challenge is to use a ribbon on the front of your card/project.  I love to use ribbon - it's one of my go-to items.  For this card I used "Cuddles on Rocking Horse" for the image and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I love the image because not only can it be used for a baby card, but for a card for any child or even an adult.  The ribbon was a piece of left over ribbon that I tied in the corner in a bow.  Here's the final result:

Come on over and join us for this round.  Remember that you must us a stamped/digi image on the front of your card along with ribbon in some way...and while you don't have to use one of Pattie's images, we would be thrilled if you did!

God bless you today!  Thank you for stopping by....
